Paragraph
I have started, deleted, re-written, and started again on this blog post for days. It is incredibly difficult to put into words what Frances and Joel’s wedding me. Even if you take away the fact that it was the most beautiful intimate wedding that started in the comfort of their home, just hanging around these two for an entire day and getting a peek into their life and relationship was magical. Frances and Joel live a beautifully simple life. They wake up in their cozy home, drink coffee together (sweetened with maple syrup – literally the most amazing taste ever.) They hike together, swim together, and talk together.
When Frances asked me to document her day, I felt honoured, excited and nervous. It’s always nerve-wracking photographing another photographer’s day, especially one whose work you deeply respect.
The details of the day were simple and sweet, they were surrounded by a handful of their most loved ones, got ready in their home, went on a mini photo adventure me, got married by the water and celebrated with food and wine in Joel’s parents backyard. They began the day with a swim together and ended around a campfire. This day was 100% them and that is what made it so perfect.
